As everyone knows (well, not even all for that matter) to install the Chrome browser or another program in the same company as Google Earth, a program called "Google Updater" is installed unnoticed way.
Which remains in the PC even after completely un-install Chrome; and it acts much like carbon monoxide; silent, colorless, odorless and tasteless way gathers information and sends it to Google. Which constitutes an infringement of the privacy and / or security and all that information collected is likely to be intercepted and fall into the wrong hands on the way to Google's servers. To prevent that from happening it is best to remove it; I incidentally Google does not provide a really effective way to do http://www.google.com/support/pack/bin/answer.py?hl=es&answer=53402

These are real steps to do:

Update: Before you follow all the steps to open the Task Manager and stop the process googleupdate.exe now not only runs as a service but it also makes it as a process, that's why some given error deleting the folder updater

1. Open msconfig (Start -> Run -> msconfig); Home tab delete any item that says Google or Google updater, so remove scheduled tasks right there in msconfig.

2. In the Service Manager (Start-> Run -> services.msc) stop services and gupdatem gupdate; then Task Manager to stop any process that say google or google updater.

3. Disable Google updater other browsers installed: in the case of Firefox Ctrl + Shift + A, go to plugins and disable Google updater. In Internet Explorer Tools menu -> manage add-ons and disable google updater.
4. In a command window (Start-> Run -> cmd) run "sc delete gupdate" then "sc delete gupdatem". (Without quotes). with this those two windows services are removed. For more drastic you can also delete scheduled service "sc delete schedule" tasks; The latter may seem a bit exaggerated, but makes it more difficult to be enabled again.

5. Go to "programaGoogle Files" folder and delete the Updater folder, or Google updater (usually change the name of the folder but it is always a very delatante name).

With these steps we already have disposal of the said program, and from what I've seen does not affect Chrome updates.
