One of the first questions that came to me was to get the Gear Fit Is it only works with Samsung devices? The first thing I did was to venture on the Internet, where I found information; on the official website of Samsung, at the end of Gear Fit page I noticed that only supports 17 Samsung models. And although at the time had one of the compatible phones (a Galaxy S3), there was still the question of those who had shown him but did not have a Samsung computer.
Since I do not found an answer on the Internet, I decided to make it. So I started to collect the requirements, which in theory were only two: (a) compatible equipment and (b) have the Gear Fit Manager. Perfect, it was just a matter of getting the .apk (installer) of this application as this application not found the Play Store for Android, this because it is an application Samsung is only available in the store Samsung Apps of their equipment.

NOTE: Not necessarily this method will work with your mobile phone, but so far has worked in the few devices we've tested.
Steps to use your Gear Fit
- You must download both installers on your mobile
- After you enable the option to install applications from unknown sources (Unknowkn Sources) in Settings> Security or Settings> Security; and you cotejas this option. (This is required because the application is not from the Play Store.
- First you install the installer name GearFitInstaller.apk
- When the prosigues installation culminates with the name GearFitManager1.49update.apk
- After installing the Gear Fit Manager, the open application (with your Gear Fit on) and expect the same displayed.
- You can install the SHealth.apk as an additional complement to configure Health offers the Gear Fit.
- (Optional) In some cases occur then of pairing both devices need to restart the Gear Fit to work.
- With this you can receive notifications from your phone to your Gear Fit and also personalize it with your own wallpapers, download more themes watches and use it as a Media Controller. The only "disadvantage" is that you must download and install manually the Gear Fit Manager application each time it is updated.
- This method also applies to those who have one of the supported Samsung devices, but not having the Samsung TouchWiz or Apps, either be using ClockworkMod or any other Custom ROM.
