Solution : Reset the Google Play Store app

This method fixes most errors caused in the Google Play Store. To reset the Google Play store, proceed as follows:

Open from your smartphone menu and go to the settings. Change here to the Regsiterkarte "Options" and then select from the list below the entry "Application Manager". Did you open this, go to the tab "All" and search in the list to "Google Play Store". Tap on the entry, so as to open the information on this system app.

Within the app information you can find two buttons:

Delete data
Clear cache
Tap them consecutively on to reset the app. Info: Here no apps will be deleted from your smartphone, only your username and password must be entered again. Then, the error 500 should no longer appear when downloading an app from the Google Play Store.
