For this problem we have two possible solutions. The simplest is to delete the temporary data of the app that gesticono contacts. To do this you need to access the Settings and select App
Settings> App
Scrolling left, you arrive at All
App> All

Here we identify the whatsapp ap and after clicking on it do:
 Delete Data and subsequently Clear Cache.
