How I can get the market that allows me to download games supported my operating system installed?

I flashed my HTC Hero with Android 2.2 but the market still only show me aware applications with the official firmware (1.6 I think) and you can not download new games.

Unless you still have the construction.The proposition 1.6 ROM file somehow, I do not believe the version of the operating system is the problem. I imagine it's lock on the device or carrier, not the operating system.
