The pkgadd system utility described in the man page pkgadd (1M) to perform the following tasks:

Add a package to the global zone

Add a package in both the global zone and non-global zones

Add a package that is already installed in the global zone to the non-global zones

Add a Package to a specified non-global zone

The configuration parameters SUNW_PKG_ALLZONES and SUNW_PKG_HOLLOW packages must match the correct value, either true or false, to add packages. Otherwise, the desired result is not obtained. For more information about the effect of this parameter configuration packages, see Packages and Zones. For more information on how to check this setting parameters packages, see Checking the configuration parameters packages on a system with zones installed.
