Activating an iPhone with a locked SIM card for the first time with iTunes 7.5 may cause the following error message: Can not activate the iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000013). Try again later.
This error can occur if you are using iTunes 7.5 to activate iPhone with a SIM card PIN locked. If this happens, ignore this error message. The iPhone will activate as expected and you can name your iPhone and choose your preferred sync settings.
To resolve this issue go to iTunes / applications and click on one of the applications you have downloaded. iTunes asks you for permission to use the application. This problem is a problem of connection with your iTunes Store account.
