  • Activating an iPhone with a locked SIM card for the first time with iTunes 7.5 may cause the following error message: Can not activate the iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000013). Try again later.
  • This error can occur if you are using iTunes 7.5 to activate iPhone with a SIM card PIN locked. If this happens, ignore this error message. The iPhone will activate as expected and you can name your iPhone and choose your preferred sync settings.
  • To resolve this issue go to iTunes / applications and click on one of the applications you have downloaded. iTunes asks you for permission to use the application. This problem is a problem of connection with your iTunes Store account.
