Update to iTunes 7.5 or later. Open iTunes and select Help> Check for updates.
If the problem persists after the update, try the troubleshooting procedures in this document.
If you can not perform any update, make sure your user account contains only standard ASCII characters. * The different characters from those listed below are not supported.

* Make sure the name of your user account contains only these characters: abcdefghijklmnopqrstu vwxyz
