  • Restore problem
  •  Recall, always synchronize before an update or restore.
  • Navigate to ~ / Library / iTunes / iPhone Software Updates. In the Finder you can choose Go> Go to Folder. Type or paste the path name above and click OK. - Delete all files in the iPhone Software Updates directory. - Try to restore the iPhone again.

In Windows, these files are located in a hidden folder. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you select Tools> Folder Options, click View and then select "Show hidden files and folders".

  • In Windows Vista, follow the instructions below: - Choose Start> Computer> Local disk and enter the following path: C: / users / [yourusername] / AppData / Roaming / Apple Computer / iTunes / iPhone Software Updates - Delete all files in the iPhone Software Updates directory. - Try to restore the iPhone again.
  • In Windows XP, follow the instructions below: - Choose Start> Run, and type C: / documents and settings / [yourusername] / Application Data / Apple Computer / iTunes / iPhone Software Updates - Delete all files in the iPhone directory Software Updates.
  • If the concern persists, delete the files contained in the folder "Device Support"

  • These errors can generally be resolved according to one or more of the steps listed below:
  1. Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including a different USB port directly on the computer.
  2. Connect a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
  3. Try another USB cable to dock connector 30-pin.
  4. Delete the conflicts due to third-party security software by following the steps described in the article iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
  5. Third-party software installed may have altered your default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize entry into your Registry. This error may be due to a default packet size is not set correctly. Contact the software manufacturer that generated the change of packet size to get help.
  6. Connect your computer directly to the Internet source, without going through a router, hub or switch. You may need to restart the computer and modem to connect.
  7. Try performing the restore from another computer and another network that you know.

If you encounter an error in the ASR 1000 History Day iPhone or iPod updates, it indicates a problem decompression and transfer the downloaded .ipsw file during restore. This error is commonly due to interference with a third party security software, an unreliable Internet connection resulting in a problem downloading the IPSW or conflict at the USB bus.
