I was reading the blog and I realized that while large companies in the technology world have the vision to offer a system that requires less resources giving you more usability without you require for more RAM or more powerful processor.
Microsoft betting on a Windows 10 minimum requirements as 1GB RAM, Intel with Core-M and Core-Atom, Google Android betting on ART in Lollipop, just to give some examples.
Not long ago there was a very marked all the technology obsolescence. 64 MB of RAM were not enough, or 128, or 512, in short, everything was going very fast. In our minds of consumers understood that it was very difficult to buy the "latest" technology and being at the forefront, at least in my economic status so it was. And the problem is that in general all opted for more MB where it may, Photoshop for example, since memory with each new version requires Mas y Mas resources. Many programmers were passed at 64 bits. That was the trend.
Today defending the iPhone with 1GB of RAM and we see Netflix doing all their effort to have the best quality of your connection Streaming although not as fast, we have Android encouraging programmers to new applications require less resources Tizen and its possible or work to do to use 256 MB of RAM on a current Smart Phone possible.
And that does not mean all is well, of course, the video has never stopped evolving. But as I perceive clear to me that at least Level Performance Hardware key is turned.
Are we headed to the end of obsolescence? How long we will stay in the 4/8 GB of RAM? What does the future hold?

Energy efficiency. In the world of consumer technology when it comes to points where power is 'enough' and have almost reached the limits of technology, the next step is to optimize it, is attempting components yield the same or even more but saving as much energy as possible until the next technological generation gap that allows a further increase in performance occurs. There are countless examples. Watch the engines of vehicles, when a level of desirable and sufficient power was reached, then the investigations focused more on the path of consumption and efficiency of these engines to avoid unnecessary fuel consumption on the other hand people also demanded .

Small energy savings multiplied by many households make energy savings is huge. Simply load the smartphones every day multiplied by the number of them that are in everyone makes electrical waste is discharged, and that just talking about smartphones, if we extrapolate everything else .....

In my opinion, this optimization is due to slower progress in desktop processors (AMD fails to compete with Intel) and batteries, is barely visible progress in recent years from the point of view of the consumer.
The stagnation of the computational power of desktop computers has meant that mobile computers are catching up in power, but by having the burden of the batteries, optimizing everything that you can.
I doubt it had much impact the wireless industry, if Intel and AMD have been matched in the competence of the desktop sector. Would still have to change PC every four years, stalls operating systems and applications have made use of this increased processing capacity, a tablet, ultrabook phablet or would not have the power to run the applications you use on a desktop pc .

I think we have reached a zenith in the hardware that has benefited us consumers. We make things smaller and multiply, but its structure is very similar.

What has been the estrategia¿? ¿? Indeed, going to the obsolescence of software. More updates, more restrictions depending on your version and, of course, pay in easy installments for us to continue surviving.

I think it is a success because we stop wasting material resources for the sake of the pockets of the lords of cigars and gentlemen's clubs.

I recently with my computer with 8 years, although it was a portent of that epoch, and an SSD with W8.1 I could meet a much higher Maquinon to decentón laptop I bought it a matter of months.

I like this way, and I hope it stays that way.
