Reset to factory settings is a frequently used option also hard reset or factory reset called.
When the phone restore:


If you want to sell or give away your smartphone
If you have forgotten your password or any other problems with the Android operating system
What happens to your smartphone:
The device is reset to the factory condition, with all data and settings will be deleted.

Warning: copy your data such as photos or documents to an external disk or to your PC before you start, because everything else is lost

Various Hard Reset Methods:
Method 1 (menu):
Open the settings and tap "Save and Reset"

 

Type "reset factory settings" on

 

Type "Reset Device" on

 

Method 2 (code):
Put the following number combination * 2767 * 3855 # one, do it as if you were dialing a number. But beware, you will not warn you! The Factory Reset is immediate.
Method 3 (booting):
This method is particularly suitable for the case that there is no longer the password
Switch off the device.
Volume up button + on-off button + home button simultaneously until a Samsung logo appears, then release.

 

Now a special menu appears on the screen.
With the volume down button you navigate to: wipe data / factory reset (in German: delete everything and reset to factory settings) and confirm with the on-off button


Now select "YES - delete all user data" and confirm with the on-off button
