If you want to download with your Android smartphone apps from the Google Play Store, then it can happen that you get the following error message appears on the display:
"Update for app could not be downloaded due to an error (923)"
The error looks like the Google Play store something like in the screenshot folgendne from:
The number "923" in this case stands for the error code. Since the error codes are not described directly by Google, one can only assume that this has something to do with the memory or the cache of the app. As a rule, however, helps one of the following two tips:
1. Empty the cache of the Google Play store
Opens this on your Android Smartphone Application Manager.
Tapped to Menu -> Settings -> Application Manager -> tab "All"
Goes in search of the Google Play Store and then tap on the entry to display the App Info card. Typing in this info card on the button "Cache". This should now have the error 923 dissolved in the Google Play Store. If not, it moves on to our next tip:
2. Reset app preferences in Android
These reopens Tapped to Menu -> Settings -> Application Manager -> tab "All"
Now typing up right once on the three-point icon, then "Reset app preferences" on the entry. Finished!
Now starts your Android smartphone in order for the changes to take effect. By now, the error should be 923 gone in downloading apps from the Google Play Store.
