have a phone Galaxy s5 that runs on android 5.0. At home and in the office, when I'm connected to the wireless network and the screen is locked (sleep), whatsaap not receive any messages until you unlock the screen. I do not use many applications so I can not confirm if this is the case with other applications or not, but I could have experienced the same problem with the email app too.

Keep Wi-Fi on During sleep is set to Always, I have no power to manage the application or any particular configuration. I checked faq Whatsapp and suggested checking the priority notice I did not use. Searching the web suggests cleaning the cache and the data does not solve the problem.

Any solution?

  • Applications are not connected to the Internet, if the phone is left to idle.Se can set in the configuration.
  • The data provider is automatically disconnected if the phone does not use the internet for a long time. (Not for wireless cellular data only)
  • If the problem persists try to reset the phone.
