It may in some Android-powered smartphones such as Samsung galaxy or a Sony Xperia etc. happen that when opening the contacts app "android.process.acore caused an error" error message appears and then closes automatically.

This means that you can no longer access the contact information on the normal contacts app, but with App intermediate solutions from the Google Play Store.

We now want to show you how to fix the error "android.process.acore caused an error", so you can use the normal contacts app on Android again.

To do so the first thing to an external app eg "MyBackup" contact information stored on your Android smartphone are backed up. This fuse is very important, because otherwise later all of the contact are missing. Therefore make sure that a proper backup is created!

Now we come to the actual problem solving:

Navigate with your smartphone to the following settings menu. From the home screen, click on: Applications -> Settings -> Applications tab "All"

Searches for "Contacts" and here opens the settings menu by clicking on it. It now appears a page of information about the app.

Now you have to "Clear Data" button, but only if you have previously made her a backup of your contact details! The command "Clear Data", all system data incl. Contact data, collected by the app "contacts" are deleted. This implies that the error caused by android.process.acore is eliminated with.

Now the contacts app should be re-open as normal. Does it work again, the previously created backup of contact must be restored. The problem with the error message "android.process.acore caused an error" should be a thing of the past now.
