EGroupware used eSync, based on the ActiveSync technology, use the Microsoft Exchange Server to sync with Android phones, so you synchronize your EGroupware contacts, appointments and e-mails with your smartphone. Android Email, Calendar and Contacts applications have to synchronize the built-in functions with EGroupware servers without additional applications from the Android Market.
How EGroupware on an Android-Sync
Android phones can sync with other email account types in addition to Google.

Press the "Menu" button on your Android phone and tap "Settings".

Tap "Accounts & Sync" and then tap "Add Account". Tap the account option Microsoft Exchange. This option can also be "Corporate". Be labeled

Just enter your email address EGroupware in the field "e-mail" and your password in the "Password". Tap the "Send email from this account by default" box, if you want it to. On the Standard Account Tap the "Next" button.

Enter your domain and user name for your e-mail EGroupware under the field "domain \ username" format as "domain \ username" and your eGroupWare server in the "Server" field. Check the "Use secure connection (SSL)" and tap on the "Next" button.

Select "e-mail push" from the drop-down menu labeled "E-mail Scanning frequency." Select an option from the dropdown menu "amount for synchronization". Tap the box next to the options you want to activate. These can use this to send as the default e-mail account to receive notifications on your Android, sync contacts and synchronize the calendar. Tap the "Next" button.

Tap "Done" and leave your EGroupware account to sync on your Android phone. This may take several minutes.
