This text is made based on a Samsung Galaxy S GT I-9000, it has Android 2.3.3 (build number: GINGERBREAD.XXJVK). I do not know if this set of instructions will help other models of phones with Android.

Long ago, I was dragging a problem in the Contacts application that is used to add / edit / delete contacts on your phone, usually to add phones, people and data, and access them when needed.

The problem was presented to me is that when you press the icon from anywhere (sometimes even with the newly lit phone without doing anything with it). It took awhile and I came out an error message informing me that the application was closed, and failing in something called android.process acore process.

I searched the Internet things related to it, and indeed sometimes makes me tremendous gibberish to find something coherent, and which do not have to delete all your phone, change a ROM or buy a new one.

Luckily, from side to side I gave a more consistent solution, which conveniently modified "a little" to serve my own process. I give the page where I found information, I do not want to take credit, but I followed the process that you also included.

Rodrigo Zamora Nelson: "Solving the problem android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly"
Here's the process I followed in accordance with the instructions above.

First of all. I put the Samsung Kies is a program to manage the contents of the mobile, backup, and if your mobile has an official ROM (mine seems not) then conveniently upgrade to the maximum that the manufacturer has given your phone . If you had installed (like me) the program, most likely you'll encounter a message that was new version of it, I conveniently upgraded, although I must say I was slow to do so.

After this, we must physically connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable that should Glad we delivered with the phone, but we'll have to buy one with the correct regular USB connection.

When the phone is connected, I went to the part of backups, I did a complete Contacts, Photos, Video, Music. If we have a lot of data, be present have enough space where depositéis folder.

In addition, as long you did a copy, I made another of all data (files) you have on the phone, in order to minimize potential failures. To do this, use the administrator's own operating system files, copy the entire contents of the unit displayed phone / Card (MicroSD card we have) and Phone (memory data / programs dedicated to the phone). I must say that in the latter, all directories and / or programs running on the phone installed do not appear.

If you're an obsessive backups "all your life," I like to have, just in case, a copy of your application WhatsApp for example. For that, I made a rather rare event, that you can skip if you do not want to.

Use an application called File Expert (you can also use another call Astro file manager, or another call Total Commander, which also comes with the phone maybe will be useful (called "My Items").

Anyway, I went with her to the external MicroSD folder, and create a directory where you would keep new content.

Then copy the internal memory, folder full WhatsApp and paste in the folder of the external MicroSD, slow a long time (if you have a lot of data, and attachment is normal), and we have a copy "to capon" said program, we can move the contents of that folder on our backup made by the phone connected via USB, (drive Card), to the computer.

Once I had taken all the precautions with different backup of sensitive data. I started to make the switch on the phone.

Good at first it is advisable to disconnect the data synchronization. No need to make many changes in this. We go to Settings / Accounts & sync, and part of our own Google (have an icon of a g), uncheck Sync Contacts.

Now we go to Settings / Applications / Management applications, and we put in all, we look for "Saving contacts" (the icon is a kind of card with a photo of the Android logo and a few lines). From here we give the button "Delete data".

From this moment all the contacts we had here are deleted. Now finally allow us to enter into the blissful Contacts application before we missed outside. We will see that no personal data or telephone or other data we had emails, photos and others. Nothing. all empty.

Again connect the phone by USB cable to the Samsung Kies, restore the backup, but only with data from Contacts. We will have recovered some of these.

If we want to recover more contacts, we will put in place synchronization, ie we go to Settings / Accounts & sync, and part of our Google account synchronization Contacts mark.

Problem solved!

With this we might think that if we had a failure before making the whole process, also to restore data that ruling would get again. So not surprisingly !, at least in my case, I have already done several times, this has not happened.

From what I've read, it seems that when you synchronize, there may be a fault or not read well any data, and the process is stuck.

In my case, I think it might have been another problem, often times I do not realize that the phone has been discharged battery you all, and I have to "put it to eat" properly. Although the phone is closed directly, I suppose that some data may have been lost in this process. Perhaps it caused because Android ROM has a security hole or other failure, not seem "very official," this former owner ... you know what I would have done with the phone

Check the list of contacts from your Android (gmail) account by logging in from your computer. Maybe some data to exchange information (sync) is broken, and is what you cause failure when you try to retrieve data from the mobile.

You can also try to retrieve contacts from the application with Windows Mobile paraadministrar. Manufacturers have some details to install an application. If you do not come with the phone, search the web mobile manufacturer to see if your model has finished the application, download and installed, and attempts to retrieve information from there contacts.

The other solution is to update your Android terminal. This depends on the manufacturer and if you have any update. With the utility program for Windows (if you have it, this varies depending on the manufacturer, as I said in the previous paragraph) can be more convenient to update from there.

Ultimately, if you do not dare with this (my still gives me funk what updates), usually in the store or the operator where you purchased the mobile usually give some support, you can try to go to the store / where you gave the operator terminal and ask how to solve the problem on your phone model. There are many models and manufacturers, and is valid for a phone and version of system can vary and not work in another.

Currently I'm not using that described in this article, I use another one again with a different Android does not give problems in this regard.

Sorry I can not help more.
